The 2025 Scottish Route was a four-day grand tour through some of Scotland’s most breathtaking landscapes. Starting and ending near Dumfries, the loop covered over 1,000 miles of varied terrain—from sweeping valleys and mountain passes to coastal roads and lochside stretches. With 20 cars on the tour, including Jaguars, Audis, Porsches, and a few rare entries, the The Scottish Route 2025: Four Days of Highlands, Lochs & Driving Bliss

This autumn, Route GT returned to Scotland for a four-day driving experience that blended performance, scenery, and hospitality in equal measure. Starting and ending near Dumfries, the route covered over 1,000 miles of Scotland’s most iconic roads—from sweeping valleys and mountain passes to coastal stretches and lochside climbs.

Most guests arrived the night before for our optional extra stay near Dumfries, giving everyone a chance to settle in, meet fellow drivers, and ease into the days ahead. The following morning began with a full drivers’ briefing, kit setup, and loaned radios and satnavs to keep things smooth and connected throughout the tour.

Day one took us into the Southern Uplands, with technical climbs and fast-flowing roads that set the tone for the journey ahead. The evening wrapped up at a coastal retreat with the first of three three-course dinners—each one paired with warm Highland hospitality and a relaxed atmosphere.

Day two brought dramatic Highland scenery and castle views. Although the planned ferry crossing was cancelled, the reroute offered equally stunning alternatives. Guests arrived at a spa hotel overlooking the coast for a two-night stay, with hearty breakfasts each morning and refined dinners each evening.

Day three was a full Highland loop through remote single-track roads, sweeping coastal sections, and cinematic viewpoints. The group paused at scenic bridges and remote cafés before returning to the same hotel for a familiar and comfortable evening—the final dinner of the tour.

Day four delivered a final flourish: national park roads, historic passes, and the iconic Forth Bridge. The group carved through the Cairngorms and descended into the Borders, with a final regroup and farewell stop before dispersing.
