A tailored private Welsh driving experience for AMBC, linking Elan Valley, Snowdonia, Black Rock Sands and the Evo Triangle.
The AMBC Tour was created after Richard asked Route GT for a more tailored version of the Welsh Route. The private group brought a serious mix of machinery, including a McLaren 650S, Bentley GTC and V12 Aston Martins.
Starting at the Metropole Hotel, the two-day route linked Elan Valley, Machynlleth, Bala, Black Rock Sands, Snowdonia, Betws-y-Coed and the Evo Triangle, with a three-course dinner and hotel stay giving the private event the same balance of driving and hospitality as the public tours.
The AMBC Tour of Wales followed a focused two-day route through Elan Valley, Snowdonia and the Evo Triangle, combining some of Wales’ best driving roads with a close-knit group of performance cars.
The group began with induction at the Metropole Hotel before heading into Elan Valley and over the Machynlleth Mountain Road. Lunch at the George III Pub was followed by a stop at Bala Lake.
The route then pushed toward Black Rock Sands before the group settled into its Snowdonia hotel for a refined three-course dinner.
Day two began on the North Coast Expressway, where tunnels amplified the V12s and turbocharged cars before the route turned into a Snowdonia loop. Betws-y-Coed provided the lunch stop.
The final drive was the Evo Triangle — a deliberate high point to finish a bespoke weekend created around the group rather than a fixed public itinerary.
