Day 1 – Into the Brecon Beacons
Our tour begins with a relaxed induction event at the hotel—a chance to meet fellow participants, share expectations, and build excitement. We then head west, crossing an iconic suspension bridge marking our entry into Wales. The convoy snakes through dramatic landscapes of the Brecon Beacons to a celebrated restaurant famed for its gourmet burgers.
The afternoon climb twists through the peaks, following the mountain road made famous by Jeremy Clarkson—its bends and expansive views delivering pure driving joy. A well-earned coffee awaits at a tearoom nestled in the hills, offering a brief pause before continuing to our overnight stop at a hotel recognised within the car community. The day ends with a hearty three-course private dinner, rounding off a superb opening chapter of the journey.
Day 2 – From Elan to Snowdon
The day begins with a drive through the Elan Valley and across dramatic roads to a gorge for a morning coffee stop. A brief pause at a lakeside viewpoint follows before descending a ridge-lined mountain road with sweeping views. We head north along the eastern edge of the Mac Loop—jets overhead aren’t uncommon—with a quick detour across a picturesque toll bridge en route to lunch beside the lake.
The afternoon includes a lesser-known gem that rewards confident driving, cutting through forested bends and undulating terrain, followed by one final mountain pass before arriving at our second overnight stop. For those up for more, a coastal toll road offers a scenic loop with sea cliffs and photo opportunities before we settle in for another private dinner.
Day 3 – Snowdon loop to the finish line
Those looking to take it slow can enjoy a relaxed morning at the spa, before rejoining the group later in the day. The main route kicks off with a scenic loop around Snowdon—an awe-inspiring drive through towering peaks and shifting light, easily one of the most dramatic moments of the tour.
We then head through forested roads to a lunch spot near Betws-y-Coed, where anyone who stayed behind earlier is collected and welcomed back into the fold. From there, it’s onto the legendary Evo Triangle—twisting, rising, and dipping across wild landscapes—before pausing at Rhug Estate Farm Café. The final run delivers one last adrenaline hit over the Milltir Cerrig Pass, as sweeping bends and rugged terrain guide us toward the finish line of this unforgettable journey.
