By participating in a Route GT tour, you acknowledge the inherent risks of driving, accept responsibility for your own conduct, vehicle and insurance, and agree to the conditions set out in this Liability Waiver & Risk Acknowledgement.
By participating in a Route GT tour, you acknowledge the inherent risks associated with public-road driving and agree to take responsibility for your own driving, vehicle, conduct and insurance, subject always to rights and liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
I understand that participation in a Route GT driving tour involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
I voluntarily assume responsibility for the risks arising from my own participation, including financial loss, injury, vehicle damage and other consequences connected with my driving, conduct or decisions.
I understand that Route GT Ltd does not provide personal travel, medical or vehicle insurance and that I am responsible for arranging and maintaining insurance appropriate to my circumstances and intended use.
Having reviewed the risks associated with participation, I voluntarily choose to take part in the event. I understand that Route GT Ltd cannot eliminate all risks associated with public-road driving and that participation is at my own discretion.
I remain responsible for deciding whether it is safe and lawful for me to continue driving at any point during the event, having regard to road, weather, traffic, vehicle and personal conditions.
I confirm that I am medically fit to participate and that I will not drive if illness, medication, fatigue, alcohol, drugs or any other condition makes me unfit to do so.
I agree to disclose information reasonably relevant to my safe participation where requested, subject to Route GT’s Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.
I authorise Route GT Ltd to contact emergency services and arrange reasonable emergency assistance if required. I understand that Route GT is not a medical provider and is not responsible for the outcome of treatment provided by third parties.
I understand that the tour is a non-competitive, recreational driving experience. It is not a race, timed event or competition. Route GT tours are navigational road trips and I remain responsible for my own navigation and driving decisions.
I agree to drive responsibly, comply with applicable road laws and speed limits, respect other road users and prioritise safety at all times.
I understand that Route GT staff may issue reasonable instructions, warnings or operational interventions where required for safety, route management or guest support. These may include radio warnings, requests to adjust driving behaviour, temporary regrouping, route-position changes or other actions reasonably necessary to maintain safe and orderly event operations.
If I fail to follow a reasonable safety instruction, Route GT may issue a warning and, in serious or repeated cases where my behaviour creates a safety risk or materially disrupts the event, may require me to leave. I accept responsibility for reasonable logistical, financial or travel consequences arising from removal caused by my own conduct.
I acknowledge that Route GT Ltd does not provide personal travel, medical, vehicle or third-party liability insurance for me. I am responsible for arranging and maintaining cover appropriate to my circumstances, vehicle and intended use.
I am responsible for checking whether my insurer needs to be informed of my participation and for ensuring that the policy remains valid for all countries and activities relevant to the tour.
Route GT does not administer or determine claims under my insurance policies. Any dispute concerning the scope or validity of my insurance must be dealt with between me and my insurer.
I am responsible for loss, damage, injury, fines, penalties or costs caused by my own unlawful, negligent or reckless acts or omissions.
Where Route GT incurs a reasonable and legally recoverable cost or liability solely because of my own wrongful act, omission or breach of these terms, I agree that Route GT may seek recovery from me to the extent permitted by law.
I acknowledge that Route GT works with independent hotels, restaurants, ferry operators, venues and other suppliers.
External services may be subject to supplier terms, operational changes, availability and circumstances outside Route GT’s direct control. I will raise any issue affecting an included service with Route GT as soon as possible so that Route GT has a reasonable opportunity to assist.
I remain responsible for personal purchases, incidental charges and disputes with third-party providers that fall outside the services included in my Route GT booking.
If I am loaned equipment by Route GT Ltd, including two-way radios, satellite-navigation units or other devices, I agree to:
I understand that loan equipment may not always be available and that I remain responsible for safe and lawful driving regardless of any equipment supplied.
I understand that photography and filming may take place during Route GT tours and events.
Route GT may use images, video or audio for editorial, website, social-media and promotional purposes where there is an appropriate lawful basis for that use. Where consent is legally required for a particular use, it will be obtained separately.
If I have concerns about appearing in media, I will notify Route GT before the tour or speak to a member of the Route GT team during the event so that reasonable steps can be considered.
Nothing in this waiver excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded, or liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Route GT is not responsible for loss, injury or damage caused solely by my own driving, vehicle condition, unlawful conduct, failure to follow road laws, or failure to comply with reasonable safety instructions, except to the extent Route GT is legally responsible for the same loss.
I understand that Route GT cannot guarantee outcomes in the event of traffic disruption, adverse weather, emergency conditions, road closures, vehicle failure or third-party operational changes.
By signing or electronically accepting this waiver, I confirm that I have read and understood its contents and voluntarily agree to the obligations that apply to me.
This Liability Waiver & Risk Acknowledgement should be read together with the Route GT Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. If any provision conflicts with a right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, applicable law will prevail.
I acknowledge that electronic acceptance may be recorded and relied upon as evidence of my agreement.
