By participating in a Route GT tour, I acknowledge and accept the following:
I understand that participation in this driving tour involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Vehicle accidents resulting in damage, injury, or death
Mechanical failure, leading to delays, expense, or inability to complete the event
Adverse weather conditions affecting driving safety and visibility
Road hazards, poor surfaces, unexpected obstacles, and dangerous conditions
Injury from physical activities connected to the event
Legal and regulatory risks, such as fines or prosecution
Medical risks, including illness, injury, or emergency treatment
Variability in GPS accuracy, mapping data and road signage, which may affect navigation
I voluntarily assume full responsibility for all risks, including financial loss, injury, or death. I understand that Route GT Ltd does not provide insurance cover, and it is my sole responsibility to secure and maintain appropriate insurance. I acknowledge that Route GT Ltd does not validate or administer insurance policies, and any disputes must be resolved by me independently.
Having reviewed the risks associated with participation, I voluntarily accept full responsibility for my involvement in the event. I understand that Route GT Ltd cannot eliminate all risks and that my participation is entirely at my own discretion. I acknowledge that any consequences—whether physical, financial, or legal—are mine to bear.
I confirm that I am medically fit to participate and have disclosed any relevant health conditions. I authorise Route GT Ltd to arrange emergency medical assistance if required and agree to cover any associated costs. I understand that Route GT Ltd is not responsible for the outcome of any medical treatment facilitated during the event.
I understand that this tour is a non‑competitive, recreational driving experience. It is not a race, rally, or timed event. Route GT tours are self‑guided, and I am solely responsible for navigating the route using the materials provided. I agree to drive responsibly, respect local laws, and prioritise safety at all times.
I understand that Route GT staff may issue instructions, warnings, or operational interventions when required for safety, route management, or guest support. Such interventions may include, but are not limited to, radio warnings, requests to adjust driving behaviour, temporary regrouping, changes to positioning on the route, or other actions necessary to maintain safe and orderly event operations. I agree to follow any instructions issued by Route GT staff.
I acknowledge that if I fail to follow a safety instruction, Route GT may issue a formal warning. In extreme circumstances where my behaviour presents a safety risk or disrupts event operations, Route GT may require me to leave the event. I accept full responsibility for any logistical, financial, or travel consequences arising from such removal.
I acknowledge that Route GT Ltd does not provide personal travel, medical, or vehicle insurance. I am solely responsible for arranging adequate cover for all event-related risks, including vehicle damage, personal injury, cancellation, and third-party liability. I accept that any disputes with insurers must be resolved independently.
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Route GT Ltd and its partners from any legal claims, costs, or liabilities arising from my own actions, omissions, or failure to comply with event terms. This includes damage to property, injury to others, or disruption caused by my conduct.
I acknowledge that Route GT works with independent third‑party providers (including hotels, restaurants, ferry operators and other suppliers) and that external services may change. Route GT is not liable for third‑party actions, availability, or service changes. I accept responsibility for resolving any personal disputes with third‑party providers that fall outside the scope of the event.
If I am loaned any equipment by Route GT Ltd—such as two-way radios, satellite navigation units, or other devices—I agree to:
Use all equipment responsibly and solely for its intended purpose
Operate devices in accordance with local laws, road safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines
Avoid misuse, modification, or behaviour that could compromise safety or legality
Return equipment in good condition (excluding fair wear and tear) at the end of the tour
Cover the cost of replacement or repair if equipment is lost, stolen, or damaged due to negligence or improper use
I understand that loaned equipment is provided as a courtesy and may not always be available. I acknowledge that Route GT Ltd is not liable for any disruption, inconvenience, or legal consequences arising from improper use of such equipment.
I consent to the use of my image, likeness, and voice in photographs, video, or audio captured during the event for promotional or editorial purposes. I release Route GT Ltd from liability related to media use. If I prefer not to appear in media, I will notify Route GT Ltd in writing before the tour begins.
I waive any claims against Route GT Ltd for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in the event, except where such liability cannot be excluded under UK law. I understand that Route GT Ltd will act in good faith but cannot guarantee outcomes in the event of disruption, emergency, or third-party failure.
By signing or electronically accepting this waiver, I confirm that I have read and understood its contents, voluntarily agree to all terms, and acknowledge that this agreement is legally binding and enforceable under UK law.
